Coping Universe I: To Strive (0/4)

waldos_writingsGeez, I can't remember the last time I had a story long enough to
need to post in chapters, or that needed a part 0.
I've been going back and forth about posting this here. A friend of
mine is working up a website for me, and I know it'll go there, but
I've finally decided to bite the bullet and toss it up here too.
I've been writing this bloody series for 3 years. Off and on,
obviously. I wasn't posting what was done because I knew from the
outset that this was going to be a four part series and only the
first two are done. BUT this is NOT a work in progress. I don't
write in an organized enough fashion to post WIPs. The Coping
Universe is four stories that share the same invented history and
non-canon events. They make more sense read in order, but each story
in the series is a complete story. Or will be when I get them all
done.
When they're all done the Coping Universe will consist of four
stories about four episodes that had major emotional impact on our
favorite characters:
To Strive (In the Shadow of Two Gunmen)
To Seek (Noel)
To Find (Somebody's Going to Emergency, Somebody's Going to Jail)
And Not to Yield (The Fall's Gonna Kill You)
To Strive and To Seek are done. I'm hoping that by posting To Strive
here, I'll get a little kick in the pants to finish To Find and And
Not to Yield. Please, please, please send feedback of any kind. I'm
tossing this up now so that I can make any changes that I need to to
this one and maybe work on the other ones on my verrrry long plane
ride next week.
And now for the basic stats:

Pairing: Josh/Sam
Summary: Sam has to keep going after the shooting.
Rating: R
Disclaimer: Not mine, no money made, so...
Other notes: Most of the medicine was actually researched, but I did
take creative license with a few things. All the background stuff I
created. The stories in this universe all have that background in
common (So does my story "Sudafed and Snowflakes" if anyone remembers
that), so it helps to read them in order, but each of the four pieces
are complete stories.
Archive: A friend of mine is building me a website, if anyone else
wants it, please ask. I'll probably say 'yes', but I like to know
where things are at.
